Advantages and disadvantages: Endangered Animals
Most zoos
are not only great places to get close to wildlife, many are also doing their
part to bolster dwindling populations of animals still living free in the wild.
Anyway, I think zoos are not entirely beneficial for endangered animals.
Zoos are very important in animals that are on the verge of extinction. In
addition, injured or orphaned animals (in danger of dying in the wild) need
rehabilitation before being reintroduced into the wild. Secondly, we should
have zoos to protect endangered animals. This is because a zoo is the only sure
fire way to be sure that they are not being poached. In fact, some zoos are
very good about providing sufficient living and roaming space for their
inhabitants. These types of zoos should make an effort to house endangered
animals.
On the other hand, zoos are great for people that enjoy looking at animals.
However, it's true they're not the best option for protecting endangered
animals. Animals need room to roam that's similar to their natural habitat.
Also, putting endangered animals in zoos to protect them is not going to save
them in the long run, it just protects the lost specimens until they die.
So the question are: Are good places the zoos for endangered animals? What do
you think about this?
Should animals stay in natural enclosures or in zoos?
